Start Ready Quest is built and run by one person, and it keeps changing. Here is what has shipped, newest first, so you can see what you are buying and how actively it is worked on.
On a phone, the Build My Quest button now sits on the first screen instead of below it. The What You Get section says plainly that each kid gets their own mission cards and one checkout covers everybody, and the skill tracks section names that missions are weighted toward the tracks you pick rather than pulled from a fixed activity list.
The site sends browser security headers that block a few common attacks. They were being sent on every page except the homepage, which is now fixed. An automatic check was added so the homepage cannot be missed again. Nothing changed for visitors, and checkout was not touched.
Every page now has its own title and description written for what parents actually search for, so results are easier to tell apart. Photos and sample pages were converted to a smaller image format and given fixed sizes, so pages load faster and stop jumping around while they load. Added an author page naming Shawn Tuthill as the person who writes and builds everything here.
Search engines and AI assistants that do not run JavaScript were seeing a blank page instead of the site. Every public page now serves its real text to them, so Start Ready Quest can be found and quoted correctly. Nothing changed for visitors, and checkout was not touched.
Added a Guides section with free, practical plans you can use without buying anything. The first one is a fourteen-day screen-free winter break plan, with a version of every day for ages 5 to 7, 8 to 11, and 12 and up. Ten of the fourteen days need nothing you do not already own. More guides are listed there with the month each is due.
Added an About page naming who builds Start Ready Quest, where, and since when, with a mailing address and a phone number. The Refund Policy link in the footer now opens the full refund policy page instead of a section of the legal index.
The homepage now says what Start Ready Quest is in the first line: screen-free missions, printed on paper, no app and no subscription. Nothing about the product changed.
Every button and link now shows a visible outline when you tab to it, text colors were darkened for easier reading, and tap targets on phones were enlarged. Checked at screen widths from 320px up to 1440px.
The mission slider got plus and minus buttons so you do not have to drag it, the price now appears in one place instead of three, and the budget question is labeled Materials Budget with a note making clear it is your own spending on supplies, never a fee from us.
Added a free sample mission at /demo, with the mission art, the safety notes, and the parent check-in script exactly as they appear in a paid quest. The homepage also shows real pages from the PDFs you receive.
Checkout went live with one-time pricing: $7 base plus $1 per mission per kid. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies, and there is no subscription of any kind.
Every PDF except the Celebration Kit now prints Page 2 of 12 style numbering, so a dropped stack is easy to reorder. Kitchen missions now carry a safety note directly on the kid mission card instead of only in the parent guide.
Each kid mission card now carries its own illustration, with no repeats inside a quest. The parent guide dropped from 17 pages to 12 by fitting each mission on a single page, and every mission page now opens with a short line telling you to read the kid card first.
